DOJ Scrambles to Protect Trump After His Name Keeps Popping Up in Epstein Files

    Published on

The Department of Justice released nearly 30,000 pages of Jeffrey Epstein documents on Tuesday—and immediately issued a statement telling everyone not to believe what’s in them.

WHAT’S GOING ON: In a move that screams “nothing to see here,” the DOJ’s official X account preemptively declared that the files contain “untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election.”

The statement insisted the claims are “unfounded and false” and that if they had “a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”

Except here’s the thing: the documents contain some pretty damning specifics. One email from an assistant U.S. attorney in January 2020 states plainly: “Donald Trump traveled on Epstein’s private jet many more times than has previously been reported.”

The email notes Trump was listed on at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996, including four flights where Ghislaine Maxwell was present. On one flight, the only passengers listed were Trump, Epstein, and a 20-year-old woman whose name was redacted—likely a victim.

THE DETAILS: There’s also a letter allegedly written by Epstein to convicted pedophile Larry Nassar, referencing their shared “love and caring for young ladies.” The letter states: “Our president also shares our love of young, nubile girls. When a young beauty walked by he loved to ‘grab snatch.'” The DOJ rushed to declare this letter a “FAKE” within hours of its release—though they didn’t publish the actual handwriting analysis from 2020.

Meanwhile, investigators found a photo of Trump and Maxwell on Steve Bannon’s iPhone 7. That photo? Completely redacted in the DOJ’s release. Bill Clinton’s face remained visible in other released photos. (SURPRISE.)

OF COURSE: The Justice Department—which has been completely subservient to the president—is running interference even as it complies with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. As one conservative X user put it: “If the DOJ tells you what to think before you read the documents, you already know they’re lying.”

WHY IT MATTERS: This completely undermines Trump’s years of claims that he barely knew Epstein or viewed him as a “creep to be kept at arm’s length.” The man was flying around on a sex trafficker’s private jet with young women.

The administration that promised to release these files is now working overtime to discredit their own document dump—which tells you everything you need to know about what’s actually in them.
