‘It’s F**king Disgusting’: Trump-Voting Comedian Turns on White House Over Alex Pretti Lies

    Published on

Comedian Andrew Schulz, who voted for Donald Trump in 2024, is now calling out the White House’s response to the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis as “f**king disgusting.”

“ICE murdered an American citizen in cold blood and then the Trump administration called him a domestic terrorist,” Schulz said on Wednesday’s episode of his “Flagrant” podcast. “That’s it. Like, plain and simple. I see the administration trying to spin it, and it’s f**king disgusting.”

WHAT’S GOING ON: Pretti, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and intensive care nurse, was killed Saturday by Customs and Border Protection agents in Minneapolis. Eyewitness videos show Pretti filming an altercation involving the agents before several of them wrestled him to the ground, disarmed him, and shot him dead. He was lawfully carrying a firearm.

THE DETAILS: The Trump administration wasted no time smearing the dead man. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller called Pretti a “would-be assassin” who allegedly “tried to murder federal agents.” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem labeled him a “domestic terrorist.” All of this despite video evidence showing Pretti exercising his First and Second Amendment rights before being killed.

“They didn’t even have a moment where they’re like, ‘Hey, we’re reviewing the footage, we’re going to try to see what’s really happening,'” Schulz said. “All of them, Trump and all the cronies, put out collective statements that immediately blamed an American citizen that was exercising his First and Second Amendment rights.”

OF COURSE: Miller has since walked back his rhetoric, claiming his initial statements were “based on reports” from Customs and Border Protection, and saying the White House is “evaluating” why agents “may not have been following” proper protocol. Classic.

WHY IT MATTERS: Schulz acknowledged he interviewed Trump before the 2024 election and that many viewers probably don’t care what he thinks. But the comedian—who has increasingly criticized the administration since casting his vote—wasn’t backing down.

“There’s no question about this whatsoever, and the administration immediately comes out and they try to gaslight the public, which you cannot do when we have 15 different videos of what happened,” he said.

BOTTOM LINE: “I don’t think any of us are having this conversation to, like, curry any goodwill or get people to like us,” Schulz concluded. “This is something that is undeniably abhorrent and should be called out. Simple as that. It’s disgusting.”
