TOP STORY

Trump makes stunning admission at Charlie Kirk ‘memorial’

At a ‘memorial service’ for the late far-right propagandist Charlie Kirk—that often veered more into a weird political rally—Donald Trump made a stunning admission. Yes, he hates his opponents.

Trump's eulogy on Saturday quickly turned from mourning Kirk to attacking political enemies, declaring outright: “I hate my opponent and I don’t want the best for them.”

THE DETAILS: Trump’s comments came shortly after Erika Kirk, the widow of the Turning Point USA founder, asked for “forgiveness” in her tribute.

Trump responded by rejecting Erika Kirk’s more polished rhetoric, instead making clear he sees politics as a blood sport—and his enemies as unworthy of empathy.

He did not hate his opponents; he wanted the best for them. That’s where I disagreed with Charlie. I hate my opponent and I don’t want the best for them. I’m sorry, Erika.

Trump used the service to push policy, touting anti-science views on autism, fearmongering about crime in Chicago, and previewing new investigations targeting “the radical left.”

He falsely implied left-wing activists were connected to Kirk’s death, saying “we think we know who many of them are,” despite no law enforcement confirmation.

In truth, law enforcement have found absolutely no connection between Kirk’s accused shooter and any far-left group.

WHY IT MATTERS: Trump’s public embrace of hatred toward political rivals isn’t just unpresidential—it’s authoritarian. Trump is yet again saying the quiet part out loud. He doesn’t believe in democracy—he wants to be a fascist dictator.

It reinforces his scorched-earth campaign strategy and signals to his base that cruelty is a virtue.

OH, AND: Also at the ‘memorial,’ noted brainworm host Robert F. Kennedy Jr. actually compared Charlie Kirk to Jesus Christ, while Lord Voldemort Stephen Miller openly celebrated white supremacy.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Trump didn’t just hijack a funeral. He turned it into a warning shot: in Trump’s America, there’s no space for dissent, empathy—or even basic human decency.

🗞️ Making News

Trump Justice Department ended damning bribery probe into Border Czar Tom Homan

The New York Times revealed a bombshell report over the weekend: The Trump administration quietly killed an FBI investigation that caught future Border Czar Tom Homan on tape accepting a $50,000 cash bribe from undercover agents posing as businessmen. Instead of facing consequences, Homan was rewarded with a powerful government post, underscoring how Trump uses the Justice Department to shield allies while promising to unleash mass deportations. This would end another president. Full story from the New York Times (unlocked for NOTICE News readers!)

Gavin Newsom fires back, requires ICE agents to show their faces

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed landmark bills to unmask ICE agents and outlaw bounty hunters from joining immigration raids, directly challenging Trump’s authoritarian immigration crackdown. The move exposes how federal agents under Trump have morphed into a secret police force, snatching immigrants and even U.S. citizens off the streets, while local leaders fight to defend basic freedoms. AOC weighs 2028 White House bid as Dems face pressure for younger leadership

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is reportedly eyeing a 2028 presidential run—or even a primary challenge against Chuck Schumer—as progressives push back against the Democratic establishment’s aging leadership. With massive grassroots fundraising, millions of new followers, and the energy of the Bernie-era left, AOC represents a generational challenge to both the corporate wing of her own party and the Trumpian forces bent on entrenching power. Ice detainees hold hunger strike at Louisiana state penitentiary

Nearly twenty immigrants held inside Trump’s newly branded “Louisiana Lockup” at Angola prison are refusing food, demanding medication, clean water, and basic hygiene. Once notorious for abuse and brutality, Angola’s Camp J has been resurrected by the administration as a deportation hub, showing how cruelty is not a byproduct but the point of Trump’s immigration machine. The hunger strikers are risking their lives to expose conditions so degrading they echo the prison’s darkest history. Full story from The Guardian.

🗳️ Thursday’s poll results

Last we asked, in the wake of Jimmy Kimmel’s cancelation, do you think Republicans actually care about free speech?

RJ voted no: “Only they get free speech not anyone else!!”

Urboj voted no, but said: “I wanted to say ‘maybe’.. because the Republicans want to exercise THEIR Right to Free Speech… at the same time they don’t want anyone to use their Free Speech to point out what’s wrong in our Society.”

Rmaier voted no and said: “Free speech can only exist if it is a two way street. I might not agree with what is being said, by either side. But I will fight to have your right to your opinion. The debate of ideas, beliefs and principles is over, in exchange for division, fear and hate. I wish I knew how to get us back to respect, compassion, tolerance and empathy.”
