TOP STORY
Congress releases Epstein birthday book, only fueling more questions

Images just released from Epstein’s birthday book
What the House Oversight Committee released last night should enrage every American: documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, including the actual lewd drawing Trump made for Epstein’s birthday book.
WHAT HAPPENED: In August, the committee subpoenaed Epstein’s estate demanding the birthday book after its existence was revealed by the Wall Street Journal. They set yesterday as the deadline to hand it and other documents over.
Upon getting the docs, Democrats released Trump’s infamous drawing. Republicans retaliated by releasing nearly all the files, including Bill Clinton’s handwritten message for Epstein in the same birthday book (see both below).
WHAT THEY RELEASED: In total, some 300 pages of documents were released, including the full-yet-redacted birthday book as well as Epstein’s last will and testament.
That includes the risqué drawing that Trump signed, which says the two men—a rapist and a pedophile—share a “wonderful secret.”
The Journal had previously reported on the drawing’s existence, but this is the first verified, actual copy of the drawing we’ve seen (though it’s been floating out on social media).

Trump has denied the drawing is from him and is even suing the Wall Street Journal, but handwriting experts and decades-old correspondence show a match with Trump’s known signature from the time.
Republicans then released the glowing birthday letter from Clinton praising Epstein’s “childlike curiosity.”

Clinton’s message reads: “It's reassuring isn't it, to have lasted as long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventures and [illegible word], and also to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference and the solace of friends.”
THAT’S NOT ALL: Another image in the book, an illustration by an unknown cartoonist, shows a disturbing side-by-side pictorial of Epstein in 1983 offering balloons and candy to three little girls.

The book also includes a heavily censored (by Republicans) photo and message from a Mar-a-lago member which jokes about Trump “buying” a “fully depreciated” woman from Epstein for $22,500.

WHAT IT MEANS: It’s past time for the government to fully release the Epstein files and allow a full investigation into his crimes and the cover-up.
Every American—especially survivors—deserves to know who enabled Epstein, who partied with him, and who may have covered it up.
This isn’t a question of Democrats vs. Republicans. It’s a question of basic human decency. Will we allow pedophiles to get away with their crimes—simply because they’re rich and friends with presidents?

🗞️ Making News
Support for capitalism drops to historic, new low
A new Gallup survey shows just 54% of Americans now view capitalism positively—the lowest level ever recorded. Democrats and independents have soured the most, with fewer than half of Democrats still backing the system that funnels wealth to billionaires while leaving workers behind. Meanwhile, big business approval has collapsed to just 37%, showing growing public disgust with corporate power and the economic order it defends. Full story from Gallup.
ICE ramps up ‘sweeps’ in LA after Supreme Court lifts restrictions
Trump’s war on immigrants just got turbocharged: the Supreme Court has greenlit ICE’s racial profiling sweeps in Los Angeles, overturning a lower court ruling that found “mountains of evidence” of constitutional violations. Now armed with judicial cover, federal agents are free to target workers based on skin color, language, or job—echoing the ugliest chapters of American history while terrorizing communities and sweeping up U.S. citizens in the process. Full story from The Guardian.
The 2025 American dream will cost you $5 million
New research finds the so-called American Dream now carries a staggering $5 million price tag—covering everything from homeownership and healthcare to raising children and retirement. For most working- and middle-class families whose wages have stagnated under capitalism, that number is pure fantasy, exposing how the “dream” has morphed into a luxury only the wealthy can afford while the rest are left scrambling just to survive. Senate Republicans eye 'nuclear option' for rules change to speed up Trump nominees
Republicans are pushing to ram through dozens of Trump’s hand-picked loyalists by rewriting Senate rules to allow bloc confirmations. The move, branded the “nuclear option,” would gut scrutiny of nominees and further pack the government with unqualified cronies willing to serve Trump’s authoritarian project—another step in dismantling democratic checks in favor of raw corporate and presidential power. GENOCIDE UPDATE
Israel orders largest evacuation ever of Gaza City ahead of illegal invasion
Israel has ordered hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza City to flee south, clearing the way for a full-scale invasion despite warnings from the UN that it will unleash a humanitarian “catastrophe.” Civilians are being forced into already devastated, overcrowded areas where even so-called “safe zones” have been bombed before—underscoring how the Israeli and American war machine treats Palestinian lives as disposable. 🗳️ Yesterday’s poll results
Yesterday we asked, given Trump’s disturbing social media post over the weekend, should Americans be concerned about Trump's war post? The answer was overwhelming.

Carl voted yes and said: “The man is out of control and destroying America. I don't know if it's because he's deranged or working for Putin. Either way, this madness has to stop.”
Lindan also voted yes: “Didn’t anyone have a basic American History course that covered Fascism?! Our beautiful though flawed country is in the midst of a take over by Trump and Co - many people using him, too- how can we sit back and let this happen!”
Ja voted no: “Complete blowhard TACO” (Trump always chickens out)
